Ruger Mark II

Introduction

The Introduction of the Ruger .22 Automatic in 1949 was the successful beginning of Ruger's legendary rise as a gun manufacturer. Inmensely popular from the start, it has sold to date over a million units.

The most popular of this gun's generations is the Mark II, made since the late seventies. Its distinguishing feature is the bolt release at the top of the left grip panel.

Exotics and Ivory Inlays

Because of the overwhelmingly functional nature of the Mark II, custom Exotic materials and Ivory Inlays are not available for it.

Altamont can Scrimshaw the Bonded Ivory Classic Panels of the Mark II with a variety of designs, shown in the Scrimshaw Gallery under the 1911 pistols page of our site. The right hand panel of the Bonded Ivory Thumbrest can also be scrimshawed. The scrimshaw design can be left in traditional black or hand colored as shown.
