Altamont's 1911 government Grips



ALTAMONT® 1911 Grips will fit nearly all full size guns from any 1911 manufacturer. We offer grips in a wide variety of materials, textures, and custom configurations.

Our 1911 grips will fit models such as the Colt M1911, Colt Series 70, Colt 1991 Series, Colt Delta Elite, Colt Gold Cup, Colt Commander, Dan Wesson Commander, Kimber Warrior, Kimber Raptor, Kimber Eclipse, Para Elite, Para Black Ops, Ruger SR1911, Remington R1, Rock Island 1911, SW1911, Springfield Mil-Spec, and Taurus 1911, and others. G10 TACTICAL 1911 GRIPS

1911 G10 Grip
ALTAMONT® G10 Tactical 1911 Grips are made from G10, a tough, high performance composite that is virtually indestructible and will not fail under extreme circumstances.

CLASSIC

1911 Classic Grip
The Classic section features a variety of custom checkering and material options - exotic woods, dual tone panels, leather, scrimshaw, and more, including Rampant Colt inlays.

1911 FINGERGROOVE GRIPS

1911 Fingergroove Grip
ALTAMONT® 1911 Fingergroove grips wrap around and enclose the front strap of the frame for dramatically improved registration, stability and recoil control.

1911 ULTIMA TARGET GRIPS

1911 Ultima Target Grip
The Ultima Target is an advanced pistol grip design with a variety of features for control and stability. The extended thumbrest and fingergrooves are ideal for target shooting.

1911 ROUND HEEL PANEL GRIPS

1911 Round Heel Grip
Originally released for improved carry functionality, the Round Heel configuration is a recent innovation to the 1911 platform. It is also known as a Round Butt or Fastback frame.

1911 GRIP FITTING NOTES

The original Colt Government 1911 model has been duplicated by many other manufacturers (such as Smith & Wesson, Kimber, Ruger, Dan Wesson, Ed Brown, Iver Johnson, Remington, Rock Island Armory, Springfield Armory, Sig Sauer, Taurus, Wilson Combat, Les Baer, Nighthawk, Para Ordnance, and so many more) and exists under other names including: Full Size, Standard, and Commander.

As a general rule, ALTAMONT® 1911 Full Size panels will fit all full size guns made by other manufacturers. You may want to measure the space between screws to make sure you have a Full Size 1911. If your 1911 is 3 1/16" between screws, then it is Full Size. If your 1911 is 2 11/16" between screws, then it is a Compact, Officer, or Defender 1911 and we do offer grips HERE for it.

ALTAMONT® is a design and manufacturing company in business since 1981. We make archery grips, knife handles, gun stocks, and pistol grips. We use high speed CNC machining centers, lasers, Zuckerman duplicators, and robotics to make our parts accurately and efficiently. We specialize in CNC machining with over 50 high speed machining centers in our plants.
